Today was somewhat less mileage at a slower pace as we were in animal
searching mode while traveling through Yellowstone. We passed hundreds
of bears but saw none of them. However we did see a large long legged
wolf that walked right by the car while we were stopped taking
pictures. Unfortunately, in his excitement, the camera operator (me)
pushed the wrong buttons and we have no photographic proof. In
Yellowstone we also saw lots of bison, a bald eagle, white pelicans,
sand hill cranes, elk. Just outside of Yellowstone, we saw Big Horn
sheep and two of them even butted heads for our entertainment. Later
in the day, while traveling through Big Horn Park, we saw no Big
Horns ... in fact we saw no animals at all and very few cars or
people. In the plains we saw lots of antelope. It was a gorgeous ride,
though and we had a clear blue sky and mild temperatures all day. We
camped at the High Plains RV park near a herd of antelope and a couple
of rabbits . No wireless here so we will have to transmit this later.
