Hi Temp - 89 degrees
After a great breakfast with the Schoonover's, we headed for Havana,
FL. En-route we stopped in Georgia ... or at least Sally did. I stayed
in Florida to take the picture. Our route took us within a mile of the
Georgia state line so we decided to step into Georgia for a photo-op.
Unfortunately, after stepping back into Florida, Sally had her first
flat tire. While it was hot today, much of our route was under a thick
canopy of trees so the heat was not too bad. We also encountered one
of the smoothest roads of the trip. We then rode to the Perry's 20
acre horse ranch and dived into their refreshing pool. Their horse
trainer was actively working a horse while we were there ... a
fascinating thing to watch. We were then fed a pre dinner snack called
brochette (tomato, olive oil, muenster cheese on bread - broiled in
the oven - a delicious snack). There was more swimming, a lively visit
from Margaret, the 75 Irish neighbor. All in all, a delightful visit.

I knew Sally was off swimming somewhere! Did Sally have a leaking flat or was it blow out? Sounds like this part of the ride was nice...a canopy of trees and a smooth road, only thing that would have made it nicer would be paint of ale at the end of the day. I know, Sally opped out for a swim. Ride safely!
